A translucent claret colour in the glass, Terres Blanches’ Anjou Démon opens with aromas of ripe black currants and black raspberries accented by Earl Grey tea, liquorice and black pepper. Smooth and generous on the palate, the wine shows layered black fruits accented by hints of tobacco, violets, limestone soil and appetising herbal notes. Finishing spicy and cinnamon-tinged, the Anjou Démon expresses chewy liquorice notes alongside firm tannins and a deep limestone soil signature. The Anjou Démon is delicious and savory today, but has the poise and the balance to reward three to five years’ aging in your cool cellar.
